Wakeboarding Techniques

The following are a number of techniques used in wakeboarding:
1. One technique is referred to as the Tsunami flip. Within this technique the wakeboarder will jump high and then perform a backflip. However, in the midst of his or her performance, he or she lets go of the rope and takes hold of it again, finishing the flip and making a landing.
2. In the Raley, the wakeboarder hits the wake allowing the body to swing back, ascending overhead and in alignment with the water. The wakeboarder next will swing his or her body and board downward, landing on the wake’s other side.
3. The butter slide is performed by approaching the wake, snapping the board sideways and then sliding onto the wake’s surface.
There are many more techniques and a great deal to learn when taking up wakeboarding. However, the sport addresses the acrobat within; and you’ll have sensational fun performing the stunts which are associated with this extreme water sport.
